I believe that all students can learn and achieve success when given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities. As educators, we have the profound responsibility and privilege of shaping student outcomes through high expectations, meaningful relationships, and intentional instruction. Teaching is not a solo endeavor—we are strongest when we partner with families and the broader community to create a supportive, inclusive environment where every child is valued and empowered to grow.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southwestern Adventist University and my Master of Arts in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix. These experiences have fueled my passion for educational leadership and my commitment to fostering academic excellence and personal growth in every student.

I am blessed to share my life with my wife, Karla, who works at Tarkington Middle School. We have two wonderful daughters: Journey, a dedicated teacher in Frisco, Texas, and Story, a college student currently attending Pacific Union College in Napa, California. My family’s support inspires me daily and strengthens my commitment to education.

“We can, whenever and wherever we choose, successfully teach all children whose schooling is of interest to us. We already know more than we need to do that. Whether or not we do it must finally depend on how we feel about the fact that we haven’t so far.”
