Drop Off and Pick Up

DROP OFF-FIRST DAY ONLY:

Parents may walk students to class between 7:15–8:00 AM using Doors 2, 3, 4, 12, or 13.

Daily Drop Off (Rest of the Year)

Car Riders: Drop off at Door 12 (1st - 3rd) & Door 3 (4th and 5th ).
Students receiving Special Education Services: Drop off at Door 4.
All students with a 4th-5th grade sibling will be dropped off at Door 3.

Daily Pick Up (Rest of the Year)
4th & 5th Grade: Door 4
Special Education: Door 3
TLC: Door 13
1st–3rd Grade (and older siblings): Door 12

 

Daily Transportation Changes

Bus changes:

All bus changes must be directed to the Transportation Department by phone at 281-592-0377, or by email at transportation@tarkingtonisd.net by 2:30 p.m. They will be able to verify if students are registered to ride the bus. Once their information is verified, they will send out a notice to the campus and bus driver. Additionally, please review the Transportation Procedures below.

  • The State of Texas has determined a child will have only one permanent address for pick-up/drop-off and the same pick-up/drop-off location every day of the week. This can be found in our Student Handbook on page 120. Students must be registered with the Transportation Department prior to riding the bus via their Google Form that can be found on the Tarkington ISD website under the Transportation Department.
  • Students are not allowed to ride home with other students.
  • Students are not allowed to get off at any stop other than their designated stop.
  • Students are not allowed to ride more than one bus unless we have court documents on file showing shared custody.

Car Rider Changes:

  • Car rider changes must be made before 2:30 pm by calling the front office.
  • All students leaving early must be picked up by 3:00 p.m.
